In opposition to hands, always visible, feet are hidden most of the time, which makes them vulnerable. Locked in shoes, lacking oxygenÉthey need targeted treatment. That is why clients go to podiatrists to relieve their pain only when in emergency. Very few of them take care of their feet on a regular basis, as prevention. With those facts in mind, Bastien Gonzalez developed his pedicure, a global concept of well-being with a sensual, glamour touch. Bastien wishes to erase bad memories of cold podiatrist-pedicurists offices, with their medical white walls, impersonal atmosphere, so unwelcoming. |
The concept of Bastien's pedicure combines the treatment in itself (pedicure, meaning: pedi: foot , cure: treatment) with a more holistic approach. Maybe it is the quality of touch that makes all the difference; the concern for details, the meticulousness, firmly rooted in an aesthetic philosophy.
This pedicure is actually the only one, worldwide, which meets the three essential following requirements:
1. a medical pedicure (care and maintenance of epidermis and nail problems). It smoothly removes corn and callusÉor any other painful thickening of the epidermis, using sterilized tools such as scalpel, lancet or drill. The goal is to eliminate any sign of skin rigidity.
2. beauty (cut and natural brilliance of the nail). The nail undergoes a thorough treatment, be it dry, ingrown or mycotic. The use of clippers, wicks or files restores shape and homogeneity. After applying a buffing paste and rubbing it with a chamois leather (a family secret), the nail becomes naturally shiny, more than it would with a nail polish.
3. well-being (achieved through a specific massage). A real massage, focusing on four main aspects of the foot: muscular flexibility, joints mobility, blood circulation and skin elasticity.
